The vineyard rows run up and down a hillside that has a slope of 32% at an elevation of 400 to 1,000 ft. on Howell Mountain. Volcanic-Forward/Aiken-rocky soils offer perfect drainage and the orientation of rows in east-west fashion maximize sun exposure. There are over 2000 vines per acre and they are hand-labored and organically farmed. The wine itself is composed of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, blended in a style reminiscent of the best of St. Emilion, specifically, Chateau Cheval Blanc.
