1976 – The Robert Stemmler Winery, located in Dry Creek California, is created with the assistance of partner Trumbull Webb Kelly
1982 – Robert Stemmler releases first Pinot Noir
1984 – Robert Stemmler Pinot Noir is considered "Best in the Nation." receiving more awards than any other wine in America for a first release Pinot Noir.
1999 – Consulting winemaker, Ken Bernards crafts new wines, limited in production, to expand the Robert Stemmler portfolio of wines beyond Pinot Noir and include a Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot as well as appellation driven Pinot Noirs from Carneros and Russian River.
2003– New wines are released and available to fans of Robert Stemmler wines via this website or selected fine restaurants and wine shops throughout the United States.
Today and the Future – The wines of Robert Stemmler remain true to Robert’s vision: elegant wine with distinctive “Burgundian” character and complexity from premium growing regions throughout California.
