1987 - The Caseys sold their premium winery to Sapporo USA., who have preserved both the historical significance of the Rosenbaum House and maintained the dedication to premium wine production. Abbott's Vineyard in Carneros was purchased from Abbott Williams, and replanted to Merlot and Chardonnay. The winery expanded again, making a meritage-style wine called Oroppas, a Merlot from vineyards owned by Sapporo in Yakima Valley, Washington, and an appellation designated Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain. Production has risen to 20,000 cases annually by 1998.
1991 - The Rosenbaum House was again remodeled and finally opened, after 110 years as a private home, to the public. Private tours, public tastings, Open Houses and Winemaker Dinners now fill Fritz Rosenbaum's house with laughter, camaraderie and, once again, the pleasures of sharing premium wine.
1999 - Beringer Wine Estates purchases St. Clement Vineyards. A market leader in the California premium wine industry, BWE has added another jewel to their crown of award-winning California wineries: Beringer Vineyards, Meridian Vineyards, Chateau St. Jean, Chateau Souverain and Stags' Leap Winery. St. Clement Vineyards continues to produce small lots of ultra premium wines, under the winemaking direction of Aaron Pott and the St. Clement winemaking staff led by Bill Ballentine, with the universal goal of producing the best wines possible from exceptional Napa Valley fruit.
2000 - Beringer Wine Estates is acquired by Australia's Foster's Brewing Company and is merged with Mildara Blass to create "the largest premium wine company in the world", a truly global powerhouse.
