Serdonis is a classic, hand-crafted Cabernet Sauvignon wine that comes from Howell Mountain of Napa Valley. Latin for hand-worker, our wine's name, SERDONIS, reflects the uncompromising and handcrafted winemaking methods. Every step and decision of our winemaking process, from the viticulture, fermentation, cellar work, and packaging is performed with the highest attention to detail and utmost care. The production is small, 600 cases, which lends the opportunity to truly use their hands to craft Serdonis.
What makes Serdonis so distinctive is the bold powerful Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on top of Howell Mountain. Howell Mountain is among the highest appellations in Napa Valley with an elevation over 2,100 feet. The southeastern-facing vineyards are characterized by steep, rugged slopes and arid, rocky soil. The vines struggle throughout the growing season producing intense, black, powerful fruit with balanced acidity, sugar and fruit.
