The term "Napa Valley Champagne" has been a part of the label since 1965, and while not everyone agrees with the use of this term, we use it because the public perception of "champagne" is that of the highest quality. Sadly, the term "sparkling wine" does not carry the same connotation of quality. We believe that the quality of our wines are equal to the best wines made in Champagne. We use the same grape varieties, process, and aging structure as the Champagne houses.
