The original winery at Russian Hill was a converted kennel that now houses our office and tasting room. In 1999 we had our first crush in our partially completed new winery building which we built on the north side of the house. This state of the art winery was designed and equipped for the production of the specific wines that are our specialty. From the bank of open top fermenters with a pneumatic punch-down device for Pinot noir production, to the valveless stainless steel must lines, to our closed top tanks and our computer controlled membrane press, we have spared no effort to give our grapes a good home in which to become wine. We have just added a laboratory and are currently designing a barrel building that will be temperature and humidity controlled to allow for better control of the wine production process.
