In 1988, Richard & Sheila Perry transformed their 20-acre Coombsville area ranch into a vineyard. This hillside vineyard is located high above the valley floor on the volcanic Vaca Mountain range. Its steep rolling hills required creative terracing and now produce full flavored winegrapes. The combination of terrain, soils and marine-moderated temperatures provides "micro-climates" well suited for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The warm days and cool nights allow the Perry's to extend their growing season.
