The Pelissa Family, proprietors of Napa Wine Company, has been growing wine grapes organically for well over a hundred years. Their wine making experience began with the purchase of the Napa Wine Company in 1993. Just recently, they introduced their own brand. The history of the buildings is fairly colorful covering Prohibition, World War II and a dramatic shift in wine consuming tastes from generic wines to varietally specific ones. They've charted not only the long, checkered history of the winery but also the colorful history of a wine-growing family.
