The winery adventures of Diane and John Livingston began in 1976 when they purchased a home and property in the Napa Valley. On a portion of their newly acquired land was a seven-year-old Cabernet vineyard located on the "Rutherford Bench," a narrow strip of the Valley famous for producing superior Cabernet grapes. Adding to the mystique and the beauty of the estate was the remains of a "ghost winery," a beautiful, abandoned stone winery built for H.W. Helms in 1883.
