Jerre Sears & Joyce Black Sears along with Mike Beatty started Howell Mountain Vineyards in 1988. The tiny production of Zinfandel, averaging about 900-1000 cases per year, has been a blend of the two vineyard sources of Black Sears Vineyard and Beatty Ranch. What makes Howell Mountain Vineyard's story interesting and different is the source of the grapes. These are two world class vineyard sites. They have proven themselves with Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon to be at the highest level.
