Grgich Hills Cellar, located just north of Rutherford, was formed in 1977 through the efforts of Miljenko Grgich and Austin Hills of the Hills Bros. coffee family. Back in 1977 Grgich had the skill and expertise to make great wines, and Hills, owner of established vineyards, had a background in business and finance.
