Galante Vineyards is located in the rustic and picturesque Cachagua Valley, in the hills above Carmel Valley. The property was purchased as a cattle ranch in 1969 by the Galante family who has deep roots in the Monterey area. Jack Galante's great grandfather was J.F. Devendorf, the original founder and developer of the town of Carmel. In 1983 the Galante Family planted Vineyards on 60 acres of their land, specializing in Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1993 Jack Galante decided to build a winery and use some of the grapes to produce ultra-premium Estate Bottled Wines.
