The Napa Valley is not very large - sometimes running as narrow as 1 mile and expanding to 5 miles wide and 35 miles long but within that finite area it has tremendous diversity. Over the past twenty years, our family has studied these differences and purchased 8 unique vineyards, which give us far more fruit than we need. We sell about 70% of it to other top wineries and select what we need for Flora Springs. Because of this we make a number of unique wines that express vineyard character - terroir. Soils and exposures give flavor and complexity to the grapes.
